Sunday Fitness Summary
Everything didn't suck though. I have still managed to get in my Sunday short runs. I managed to stay sane and I overall felt good in my own skin.
Yesterday the kids and I attended the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure in Charlotte for the 5th year. This year we ran. Yep, you read that right, we ran. This was the 1st 5K run for the boys and they did well, running together and getting it done in 40 minutes. They left their mom behind because it still takes her about an hour to finish. It was wonderful. I loved seeing them at the finish line waiting for me to arrive. They have also been bitten by the race bug. RJ is already planning on how he can beat that time. Step 1, he says is for him is to run with out TJ. All three of us were excited when we went shopping earlier in the week for a pair of pink ribbon socks. I loved that mine used the ribbon to spell out Believe.
I had a wonderful lunch date with a great homie. It wasn't just great because it was healthy and well portioned, but also because it was full of laughs at a much needed time in my week.
I have also been stepping up my wardrobe. I am not going to wait until I get to my goal weight to feel cute.
Here is to a new week with some new motivation. The plan is to get back on the daily work out schedule and to throw in some detailed meal planning.
